Green Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (GSUS) was started as a community organization in the year 2020. Initially, it was just a Voluntary Organization that was run by a few local people of Kazla village in Rajshahi. Kazla is located just beside Padma River. Over the year GSUS has become one of the prominent NGOs by exponentially increasing its operation for providing help and assistance to the rural and urban people of the Kazla Village. In Kazla village, many landless people are settled due to their homes being tarnished by the Greater Padma River for river erosion. GSUS had taken initiative to provide food, shelter, cloth and fund assistance for these homeless and landless people. Currently, GSUS has started funding a school for disabled people, providing old-age allowance in kazla village, and ensuring financial assistance for the small cottage industries and local businesses through microfinance operations. On 16th March 2023, the Executive Director of GSUS Mr. Haroon-Or-Rashid started using Swosti-mfi247, microfinance software to accelerate GSUS’s operation.
